Experience
- April assists assists clients in understanding what health insurance options they are eligible for and then assists them in applying to ensure they receive coverage.
- Prior to joining the Advocacy Center in October 2023 as a NC Medicaid Ombudsman, April volunteered at multiple naturalization workshops across the state to help community members apply for citizenship and assisted with voter outreach initiatives in immigrant communities. April joined the health care navigator team in January 2025.

- University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Second Major in Global Studies and a Minor in Health and Society
