What we do

Health Insurance Navigator

As a member of the North Carolina Navigator Consortium, Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy provides free, unbiased advice to residents of Mecklenburg County, helping families and individuals choose plans that are best for them within the health insurance marketplace implemented under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Our federally certified Navigators are extensively trained in the insurance plan options offered by the marketplace, in addition to cost-sharing reductions and premium tax credits eligibility that will help individuals and families better afford their health insurance.

Local residents have the opportunity to schedule appointments with Navigators to receive assistance in applying for health insurance plans and pursuing tax credits and reductions, as well as help enrolling in other federal and state healthcare programs, such as Medicaid. Additional assistance is provided to consumers who are disabled, do not speak English or are unfamiliar with health insurance.

To schedule a free appointment with a local Navigator, please call 980-256-3782 or visit www.ncnavigator.net.
