Mecklenburg County Receives FEMA Disaster Declaration for Hurricane Helene

Homeowners and renters in Mecklenburg County who had uninsured damage or losses caused by Hurricane Helene are now eligible to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. FEMA may be able to help with serious needs, displacement, temporary lodging, basic home repair costs, personal property loss or other disaster-caused needs. Click the link above for more information.

Disaster Unemployment Assistance Available in 39 Counties/Asistencia Por Desempleo en Caso de Desastre Disponsible en 39 Condados

People who lived or worked in the 39 designated counties who are unemployed as a direct result of Hurricane Helene may be eligible for unemployment benefits under the DUA program. Please click links above for more details and deadlines (please note: deadlines are in early December).
