Get to Know… Ro’shaun McClendon

Experience

  • Ro’shaun is responsible for facilitating strong connections between the Advocacy Center and the communities we serve, while promoting the organization’s mission, and he oversees the outreach efforts for both the Health Insurance Navigator and Ombudsman teams.
  • Prior to joining the Advocacy Center in August 2022, he served as a Case Manager for The Hope Youth Network in Gastonia, NC. This organization supported unhoused individuals and families transition into financial stability and permanent housing.
  • In addition to his nonprofit experience, Ro’shaun is an experienced social justice advocate and political organizer. He previously served a term as the 1st Vice Chair of his county’s Democratic Party (Gaston Democratic Party).
