Get to Know… Meeka Clark

“I work at the Advocacy Center because I believe strongly in social justice. I want to communicate and advocate for those who do not always have the loudest voices, allowing them to be heard and understood, with the ultimate goal of making positive change in our community.

Experience

  • Meeka is responsible for efficiently gathering detailed intake data, conducting initial client interviews, investigating preliminary issues, communicating important facts to attorneys, and opening new files.
  • Meeka’s career began in the political arena, where she assisted national and local political figures and nonprofit organizations with brand positioning and messaging during their campaigns and fundraising efforts. She continued to expand her legal knowledge as a certified paralegal and become a litigation paralegal specializing in criminal defense, family, and personal injury law. In her tenure, she was a firm administrator and head litigation paralegal for a criminal defense firm that specialized in homicide in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
