Kelly Lynn

Chief Marketing Officer

Kelly Lynn serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. She leads the marketing department and is responsible for implementing and managing an integrated, organization-wide strategic communications plan to broaden awareness of the Advocacy Center and to strengthen the Advocacy Center’s brand across key stakeholder audiences.

Before joining the Advocacy Center in October of 2023, Kelly spent four years as the New Business Developer at SPARK Strategic Ideas, a strategic branding agency. Previously, she spent 15 years doing marketing and fundraising for human services nonprofits (Director of Development at Supportive Housing Communities, Director of Development at Charlotte Family Housing and Marketing/Development Associate at Youth Homes), along with serving a few years as the Chair/Vice Chair of the Homeless Services Network of Mecklenburg County. She also spent five years as the Marketing Program Manager for BOLTGROUP and two years as an Account Coordinator for Carolina Public Relations/Marketing.

Kelly received a B.A. degree in Communications (public relations concentration, sociology minor) from Virginia Tech, along with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University’s continuing education program. She received certification for Mastering Sales from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive designation from CFRE International. She is also a proud alum of Leadership Charlotte (Class XXXI).

Kelly is a member of the Women’s Impact Fund, and she volunteers as the Advisory Board Chair for the Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter at Virginia Tech. She also enjoys traveling, spending time with family/friends and watching sports.

Kelly works at the Advocacy Center because she believes strongly in social justice, and she wants to communicate and advocate for those who do not always have a loud voice in our community so they can be heard and understood and ultimately achieve desired results.
