The Immigrant Justice Project (IJP) unit partners with experienced attorneys to provide advice to migrants in removal proceedings. Every Tuesday and Wednesday, the Advocacy Center staffs the Pro Bono Room at Charlotte’s Immigration Court. Attorneys who volunteer in the Pro Bono Room provide guidance on how individuals may represent themselves and conduct intake for clients eligible for full representation.
Volunteers for the Pro Bono Room must have some have immigration law experience and be licensed to practice law in the United States.
