Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy has operated an active Pro Bono Program since its inception in 1967. Since 2002, the Pro Bono Program has been run jointly with our organization and Legal Aid of North Carolina, Charlotte, as well as participating in joint CLE activities. Now, the joint Mecklenburg Access to Justice Pro Bono Program is one of the largest in the state. Your commitment to giving time and energy to help us serve more clients can change the lives of those in need.
Pro Bono Attorney – Thank you for your interest in serving low-income clients in our community. We are always in need of pro bono attorneys who are dedicated to helping us serve more clients in legal crisis. To learn more about volunteering, please fill out the pro bono volunteer interest form.
Maintenance Volunteer – Are you an experienced handyperson? We are in need of a volunteer who is willing to be called occasionally for minor repairs, changing fluorescent light bulbs, installing shelves, fixing leaky faucets, hanging white boards, repairing lifted carpet, etc. Requires an adult with knowledge and experience in simple building maintenance and repairs.
