Advocating for Veterans

Nevah Jones serves as an attorney and Skadden Fellow for the Veterans Legal Services Unit at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. She helps low-income veterans obtain service-related benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Nevah is herself a veteran, having served for twenty years in the United States Air Force as both an enlisted technician and an officer. Nevah will discuss her experience as a Skadden Fellow, as well as her work advocating for veterans.

Advocacy Center, Brown Bag Lunch Series

From June 12th through August 8th, Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy will be hosting virtual Brown Bag Lunches. You will be able to participate in the presentations via Zoom. The events will allow you to gain a broad understanding of legal aid/public interest work and learn about the work that the attorneys at the Advocacy Center are doing day in and day out.
