Get to Know… Janis Renzi

“I came to work at the Advocacy Center because I wanted to make a meaningful impact in my community through the work I do. I believe in their mission to pursue justice for those in need.

Experience

  • Janis works with with veterans to access legal services and assist with discharge upgrades and housing stability support, while also helping to remove barriers to housing and employment.
  • Before joining the Advocacy Center in January 2025, Janis worked as a Contract Regulatory Paralegal with assignment at Duke Energy. Prior to that, she worked for 13 years as a Juvenile Probation Officer with the State of Maryland.
