Experience

• Karla addresses the legal needs of unaccompanied migrant children seeking relief within the Charlotte Immigration Court system.
• Before attending law school, Karla spent a year abroad teaching English in South Korea.
• During law school, Karla interned at Catholic Charities Diocese of Arlington’s Hogar Immigrant Services, Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia’s Housing Unit, New York Legal Assistance Group’s Immigration Protection Unit, and served as a student attorney with Washington College of Law’s Immigrant Justice Clinic.
• As an American University Law Review member, Karla was selected for publication of her Comment entitled “Inherently Coercive Entry: ICE’s Use of Unconstitutional Ruses.”
