Get to Know… Davis Lovvorn

“I want to make a systemic impact in the lives of our most vulnerable youth, children who are immigrating to the United States. There is no better place to do this work than at the Advocacy Center. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity.”

Experience

  • Davis addresses the legal needs of unaccompanied migrant children, as well as others seeking relief within the North Carolina Immigration Court system. 
  • Prior to joining the Advocacy Center in September 2023, Davis was a high school Spanish teacher at Julius Chambers High School in Charlotte and was a member of the Graduation Committee and School Leadership Team.
  • Davis received the Faculty Award for Excellence in Immigration Law from Notre Dame Law School.
