Health Insurance Navigator

Sierra Elrahal works in the Family Support and Health Care Program of Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy as a Health Insurance Navigator. She helps people in Mecklenburg, Union, and Cabarrus counties as well as outside of those communities. Sierra assists with navigating anyone in the state to the appropriate resource.

Before joining the Advocacy Center in July of 2021, Sierra worked at the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office as a Legal Assistant. She worked in case assignment for the misdemeanor unit. In addition, she assigned cases to attorneys and helped maintain attorney’s schedules. Elrahal earned her Bachelor of Arts at UNC-Charlotte, with a major in Sociology and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. In her free time, Sierra enjoys hanging out with friends and family. She also enjoys walking around parks, hiking, kayaking and snow skiing. Sierra works for Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy because she shares a passion for helping the community and people affected by poverty and crisis situations.
