Communications Specialist

Natalia Bender is the Communications Specialist on our Marketing & Communications team at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. She is responsible for internal and external communications, as well as cultivating positive relationships with our local media.

Before joining the Advocacy Center in April of 2023, Natalia served as an American Red Cross volunteer in the Regional Communications and Public Affairs department of the Greater Carolina’s. Prior to the Red Cross, Natalia was a Lead Corporate Communications Specialist for Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga in Santander, Colombia. She graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a focus on Corporate Communication. In her spare time, Natalia enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new cultures, traveling the world and watching sunsets. 

Natalia works for Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy because she is passionate about helping those in need and sharing her knowledge of communicating in an effective way. “Being a Latina who speaks English and Spanish allows me to better understand the diverse realities we live in through different lenses to reach a wider audience.”
