Meghan Rankins

Development and Pro Bono Associate

Meghan Rankins (she/her) is the Development and Pro Bono Associate at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy.

Before joining Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy full time, Rankins interned with the Development unit at The Advocacy Center as well as with Safe Alliance where she found her passion for legal aid and advocacy as a court advocate for survivors of domestic violence. Rankins organizes and recruits volunteers to take on pro bono cases with The Advocacy Center and assists with communications and electronic community outreach.

Rankins earned her degree in history from Davidson College and will pursue a law degree beginning August 2021 at The University of North Carlina School of Law in Chapel Hill.

Rankins’ family history with navigating unjust healthcare systems inspired her path toward social justice work. She is proud of The Advocacy Center’s intersectional and “no wrong door” approach to assistance and enjoys helping local attorneys and volunteers get connected to our mission.
