Attorney, Community Redevelopment Project Coordinator
Lashieka is a Staff Attorney at the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy working on the Community Redevelopment Project. In this role she focuses primarily on expunctions, driver’s license restoration, affordable housing advocacy, and property tax relief.
Before joining Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, Lashieka was a law student at UNC School of Law where she graduated in May 2019. In law school, she was involved in over 200 hours of pro bono work and was recognized as 3L Student of the Year by the Pro Bono Board. Lashieka interned with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, and the NC Poverty Research Fund. Hardin graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
Lashieka currently serves on four nonprofit boards: Mecklenburg County Continuum of Care, the Reentry Housing Alliance, Triumph Services, and UNC School of Law’s Pro Bono Alumni Board. Hardin is also a member of the Pipeline Programming Subcommittee of the Mecklenburg County Bar. Lashieka works for Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy because she loves to serve others and believes in Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy’s mission to “pursue justice for those in need”.
