Finance and Accounting Manager

Jorge Fernández is the Finance and Accounting Manager at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. 

Before joining Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, Jorge was employed as a senior project accountant for Mountain Housing Opportunities in Asheville, NC. After a rewarding 11 years working for a non-profit affordable housing developer whose primary objective was to create pathways and opportunities for the promotion and achievement of home ownership to low-income recipients, Fernández continues to utilize his extensive accounting background to assist in providing detailed, accurate and transparent financial information as well as pursue his passion to be associated with an organization that ultimately brings opportunities for self-enrichment and an overall better life to the otherwise under served and underprivileged. 

Fernández earned his B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. In his spare time, Fernández is an avid nature lover who enjoys spending time outdoors every chance he gets. Often, you will find him exploring the several hiking trails throughout the Charlotte area’s many parks and greenways. He also enjoys traveling, always embracing opportunities to meet people from different places as well as engaging in a variety of cultural experiences.
