Caitlyn Schaefer

Paralegal-Advocate

Caitlyn “Cc” Schaefer is a Paralegal-Advocate at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. She assists clients of the Advocacy Center in the Consumer Protection Program.

Before joining the Advocacy Center in August 2022, Schaefer attended Western Carolina University and was heavily involved in the Latinx department, working as the assistant to the head of the department for two years. While completing her B.A in Philosophy, she planned fundraisers and events to advocate on behalf of immigrant farm workers in Western N.C. In her free time, Caitlyn enjoys community outreach, listening to live music, hiking, paddle boarding, and reading.

Caitlyn works for the Advocacy Center because of her dedication to advocating on behalf of those who do not know how to navigate our confusing judicial system. “I believe all people are entitled to representation, regardless of their income, and that they are treated with dignity and respect. I am committed to learning and engaging with those in my community so I can be a better ally and connect with others in Charlotte, NC who are equally passionate about building others up.”
