Ombudsman

Amia Braswell serves as Medicaid Ombudsman in the Family Support and Healthcare at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. In her role, Amia assists Medicaid beneficiaries and coverage and service and coverage-related issues.

Before joining Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, Amia completed an internship at Carolinas Care Partnership and worked as a Technology Support Specialist. She now conducts education and outreach on access and usage of Medicaid Health Insurance plans. Amia earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
