Morgan Carter

Tax Clinic Fellow

Morgan Carter serves as a Tax Clinic Fellow in the North Carolina Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy.  She assists attorneys in the Legal Services for the Elderly and Tax departments, with federal and state tax controversy casework as well as assisting seniors with simple estate planning needs.

Prior to joining the Advocacy Center in April 2023, Morgan worked with seniors coordinating all aspects of the often-stressful transition from their homes into a senior living facility. She has over ten years of experience in the senior living/care industry. Also, she has experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, reconciling insurance claims, and payments, and monitoring payor rules to ensure compliance. Morgan has a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Queens University of Charlotte and a Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Morgan works for the Advocacy Center because she wants to improve the financial security of the community. “I work for Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy to improve financial security and preserve generational wealth in the communities we serve.”
