This event is open to potential pro bono attorneys interested in training in and taking on consumer protection cases with Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. Low-income families often lack access to resources that preserve income, protect them from financial exploitation, and increase economic mobility. Saving a client’s car can preserve their transportation to work or school. Returning stolen home equity for a family can prevent someone from losing their home and livelihood. Consumer protection ensures that those who cannot afford legal representation in these matters are protected. Leah Kane and Edward Byron of Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy’s Consumer Protection Program will lead this training. Please register before July 15th, 2020 at 5pm.
