What is Charlotte Triage?

Charlotte Triage is a state and nationally recognized volunteer recruitment program that collaborates with Charlotte Center for Legal advocacy and Legal Aid of North Carolina-Charlotte to bring the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community together and address some of the most critical legal problems impacting economic mobility in the county.

Access to Affordable Care in North Carolina

Join the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy’s Navigator Project to help families access affordable healthcare and understand their coverage. As a volunteer with the Navigator Project, you will receive in depth training with a packet with resources, conduct phone calls to discuss individual’s healthcare options,assist to schedule enrollment appointments, and participate in virtual community outreach.

Who: Lawyer and Non-Lawyer Volunteers (No prior legal education or healthcare education required)

When: October 1st, 2020 (3:45-4:45pm), follow up training TBD.

Despite increased efforts to provide better access to care to North Carolina residents, over 1,000,000 North Carolinians remain uninsured. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic,access to affordable healthcare is more important than ever. As an outreach volunteer, you can help families acquire and maintain healthcare coverage even during these uncertain times
