Emily Kim

Attorney

Emily J. Kim is an attorney at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy working in the Family Support and Health Care Program.

As a law student, Kim represented clients through two law school clinics on issues related to health insurance, special education, tax law, and family law. Before joining Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, Kim worked for about two years as an attorney/fellow at Disability Rights North Carolina where she represented clients in Medicaid and disability discrimination matters. Kim now advises clients on accessing Medicaid and other public benefits.

Kim earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and her B.A. in Economics and Art History from the University of Pennsylvania.
