Health Insurance Navigator

Christian Rios serves as a Health Insurance Navigator in the Family Support & Health Care department at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. In his role, Christian help families and individuals apply for different forms of healthcare including, but not limited to, Medicaid and Marketplace plans.

Prior to joining the Advocacy Center in December 2022, Christian was an undergraduate at UNC Charlotte. There he was heavily involved in university activities and organizations. He studied as a Political Science and History double major, with a minor in American studies. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, and road trips across the country.

Christian works at the Advocacy Center because he wants to help close the gap between affordable healthcare and communities without access. “From my own personal experiences growing up in a low-income community, I know firsthand the desperation and feeling of not having access to healthcare. I’m here to change that.”
