Director of Development and Public Relations 

Brittney Reardon Coleman is the director of development and public relations at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy.

Coleman holds her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Media and Journalism, where she served as President of the Wesley Foundation. During the summer of 2001, she worked with the Appalachia Service Project in Raleigh County, W.V., and in the summer of 2002, worked in Cocke County, Tenn., organizing volunteers, managing finances and coordinating construction projects. After college, she worked as Development Director of the Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services in Pittsboro, N.C., before joining Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy in 2006. 

Coleman’s summer staff experience with the Appalachia Service Project directed her to a long-term career in public service, while her journalism education and strong service learning component at UNC allowed her to connect with the administrative side of nonprofits in fundraising and communications. She is currently a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a member and volunteer with the Junior Charity League of Concord. At Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, she enjoys seeing how stories of impact and clients’ success can help others passionate about Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. Outside of the office, Coleman enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, traveling to visit friends and deciding which room to repaint next in her home.
