Ombudsman

Abigail Doggette is an Ombudsman for Family Support and Health Care Program of Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. She assists people from low-income backgrounds and households who are eligible for Medicaid, have questions concerning Medicaid enrollment or issues involving their health insurance.

Before joining CCLA in February of 2022, Doggette attended the College of Charleston where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health. While in Charleston, she interned at Ronald McDonald House Charities and volunteered for various nonprofit organizations in the area. Abigail earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the College of Charleston and graduated in October 2020. In her free time, Abigail enjoys hanging out with friends and being outdoors. She enjoys walking, working out, and playing tennis.

Abigail loves working for Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy: “The reason I want to work for an organization like CCLA is because in college, working for a nonprofit seemed like such a fulfilling career and when I was volunteering and interning I was able to get a first hand glimpse into what it really felt like to help people who were in need of some extra support. At that point, I decided that no matter what I chose to pursue with my degree, I would make sure I was always serving the people and impacting lives in a strictly positive way and that is what CCLA is all about.”
